Advising Mission Statement

CBS Academic Advising assists students in the development of meaningful educational plans that are compatible with their long-term goals.

More specifically, advisers can help you:

  • Develop communication, decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Develop skills in locating and effectively using information and resources that help you achieve your goals
  • Understand the relationship between your classroom experiences and your academic, career and personal goals
  • Understand the importance of including experiences outside of the classroom in your educational plan

Advisers are available to help you understand degree requirements, how to navigate your way around the University, strategies for success as well as University policies and procedures. Read the Advising Syllabus to see how helping you make the most of your educational experience in CBS is at the heart of what we do.
