HistoryThe College of Natural Resources conducted its first forestry session at the Station in 1909.
The biology sessions, which began in 1935, are coordinated by the College of Biological Sciences. Two five-week sessions corresponding to the Summer Session calendar of the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, offer courses in such areas as ecology, ornithology, mammalogy, aquatic biology, plant biology, genetics, entomology, and many other aspects of field biology.
